EU, 220 m€ Investment for Mediterranean Food Projects

The EU will invest 220 million euros in water and food projects in Mediterranean areas as part of PRIMA Program.

The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) was announced at the 11st of April following and agreement between maltese Presidency with the EP in order to provide more facilities and possibilities to further promote the Mediterranean traditional food.

‘It is expected to encourage economic growth and stability in long-term for all the people who live in that area’, said Chris Agius, Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport in Malta.

The partnership encludes not only Mediterranean countries but also other non-european countries which will absolutely improve the wuality of this project with sharing experiences and traditions.
