Serbian FM Rebuffs Plans to Create Greater Albania

Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, has today rebuffed plans to create the so-called Greater Albania and wondered whether the silence of Western governments was a kind of approval.

In a written statement addressing quotes by Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister Dacic who is also Serbia’s Vice President noted that Albanians are creating a common platform.
He also said that these plans are the greatest threat to peace and stability in the Balkan and European regions.

‘I ask the international community what would happen if Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated that the union of Serbia and Republika Srpska is possible if we do not join the EU? I am pretty sure that everyone will accuse Serbia of threatening peace,’ the Serbian Foreign Minister said.
