Vlahutin: Albanian Politics Will Find Ways of Giving Citizens Right of Vote

Head of the EU Delegation to Albania, ambassador Romana Vlahutin reacted to the political situation in the country following annulment of Kavaja municipal elections, ATA reports.
Being in the Southern Albanian city of Gjirokastër in the context of the Europe Day, Vlahutin shared a message of unity. “We all share a common ambition, to make Albania a member country of the European Union. Everything we do, we do it for the people of Albania”, said ambassador Vlahutin.

“I am absolutely sure that all Albanian politics will have the proper courage and wisdom to find reasonable ways and give the Albanian citizens their constitutional right of voting for the party they choose. This should not and will not be a blocking of its EU integration ambition. I absolutely believe that everything the Albanian politicians do will be to the benefit of the citizens of this country. It’s easier to quarrel or fight for something than build it”, Vlahutin is quoted as saying.

Ambassador Romana Vlahutin is in Gjirokastra also as an expression of support for the cultural heritage of this city which faces several challenges along with the need for promotion of tourism.
