Albania to Draft Climate Protection Law by 2018
Albania will prepare a legal package with main acts for climate protection within 2018, sources from the Ministry of Environment told local media on Wednesday.
According to ministry’s representatives, this package aims at air decarbonization and keeping parameters according to the terms of the Paris agreement.
In order to implement this agreement, the Environment Ministry is working not only in reducing greenhouse gas emissions to preserve the environment, but also to save the environment, local media reported by citing officials.
The law has focused on the implementation of the Paris agreement, which Albania ratified in July 2016 with the commitment to implementing it.
