Albania and regional countries, with the highest official holidays including 1st of May

Taking into consideration that for many other European or developing countries the 1st of May, still represents a memorial day for protesting and fighting for worker’s rights, Albania provides may interesting facts regarding this day.

In fact, Albanians love and enjoy holidays and that is why, it is ranked among average countries that have the most paid days-off per year. With 32 days of vacation per year, Albanians rank in the average of European countries.
In Europe, according to a Wikipedia publication, top ranked as the country with the most paid holiday days is Austria for 41 days, followed by Finland, France and Spain with 36 days off. According to the Labor Code in Albania there are 20 working days annual leave, in other words, 28 calendar days. On the other hand there are 12 official days off.
The days when official holidays coincide on Sunday, Monday is a day off, as it is the 1st of May 2017. In general large private companies in Albania as well as state administration, respect this Labor Law and pay their workers for all the days off that coincide to on Saturday or Sunday.

At the end the most joyful country in the world, who enjoys 46 days of vocation and official holidays, is Sri-Lanka.
