Spain crushes Albania’s hopes with two goals in 10 minutes at the Loro Borici Stadium in Shkodra

Spain has won against Albania in the World Cup Qualifiers by by crushing Albania’s hopes at home, scoring two goals in 10 minutes at the Loro Borici Stadium in Shkodra.

The two goals were scored at the 54th minute by Diego Costa after a fatal error from Albania’s legendary goalkeeper Berisha and the second goal came at the 62nd minute from Nolito who had just come onto the game, thus sealing off a well deserved victory for Spain.

Throughout the game in the rainy northern Albanian city of Shkodra, the Spanish team made Albanians sweat through short passes and tactical superiority with a stadium which lost its enthusiasm for the home team.

After the two goals, Spain commanded the entire game with the Albanian defense in total disarray and the Albanian fans in despair as they watched their home team loose.

Speaking after the match in Shkodra, Spain’s Nolito said: “This was a very difficult game. Albania has a good team but I think we were in good shape. Happy for the victory. These are three important points”.

Group G is led by Spain and Italy with 7 points each followed by Albania and Israel with 6 points respectively. Macedonia and Liechtenstein trail at the bottom without grabbing any points so far.

Next Group G matches play on November 12th with Spain receiving Macedonia, Liechtenstein receiving Italy and Albania welcoming Israel at home.
