BREAKING – Albanian Police Arrests 4 People Over €3,2m Robbery

Tirana, Albania | Tirana Echo – The Albanian State Police have confirmed the names of 4 men arrested today over the €3,2m Euros robbery after an ambush of a private bank security vehicle transporting the money to the Tirana International Airport.

The persons arrested have been accused for two robberies which have taken place at the same Airport road between December 2016 and February 2017

During a press conference today, Tirana Police Chief Ervin Hodaj confirmed that 33 year old Fation Xhyliu from Lushnja, 31 year old Ditjon Memlika, born in Tepelena former military, 28 year old Neim Avdulaj, former professional member of the military and Ernest Kupa from Kruja have been arrested under suspicion for the execution of two robberies.

Meanwhle the police are still looking for two more individuals still on the run.

The statement comes hours after reports that one person was being held in connection with the spectacular robbery which took place last Friday close to the International Airport of Albania.

No other details have been provided at this point.
